Meet the giraffe from Susan B. Anderson's wonderful book Itty Bitty Toys to Knit. He's just one of many must-make toys in her book (stop by the shop, we have a lot of samples!) and a fun summer project that will come in handy for holiday giving later this year. If you want to make him, or some of the other great toys, we're starting a 6-session knit-along on June 22. Join all 6, or just one, and get some help and have some fun. Get more information here.
And to get everyone started thinking t-o-y, we're having a contest...our giraffe needs a name. So email us your suggestion and be entered in a drawing for a signed copy of the book, some yarn, or something else really special. You can also come in to the shop and enter in person.
Speaking of coming in to the shop, don't forget to come in this coming Saturday, May 22, to meet and chat with Kay Gardiner of Mason-Dixon Knitting website and book fame. She'll be signing her books and talking about the joys of knitting from 10-12:30PM. And save this date: June 25, a Friday night, for our second annual Mac & Me trunk show. See all the new designs, meet Leslie Scanlon and enjoy wine, cheese and other treats. The evening starts at 6:30.
