Belle Douglass, a junior at Rice University, learned to knit when she was 8 years old and has been knitting up a storm ever since. She loves to teach all her friends to knit and even taught a knitting class at her college. Some of Belle's favorite things to knit are toys, especially elephants!
This 4-session class is for beginning knitters, age 8 and older. No experience necessary! Along the way to crafting a super simple hat, students will acquire the basic skills of knitting such as, casting on stitches, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, increase/decrease, binding off stitches and sewing a simple seam.
